The kindergarten class has been working so hard on their reading that it’s time to LEVEL UP! They are reading aloud and working towards a level D by the end of the school year. Thankfully, Mrs. Strop's fifth graders have been graciously helping Mrs. Wergeland by being an extra set of eyes and ears to listen to them read for extra practice. Many thanks to Colin, Aurora, Scarlet, and Ava for being strong leaders!

From Mrs. Schleusner (Title 1 Instructor): Yesterday, March 23, the entire school held an assembly to recognize and celebrate several students with PERFECT ATTENDANCE for both Trimesters 1 & 2. Thank you so much to the students for their accomplishment and to the parents/family members who were able to join us in celebrating! Congratulations to everyone!
Electrical Safety Program comes to the Winter School
Jump River Electric Cooperative came to the Winter School on Wednesday, March 18th, to do a demonstration on Electrical Safety with the first and third-grade students. Calvin and Ben brought Neon Leon, Lightning Liz, and Oscar Meyer for a terrific program demonstration. The students learned about electrical safety in their homes and in their neighborhoods. Jump River gave the students pencils and informational coloring books to take home and share with their families. All of the students created Electrical Safety posters for a contest for Jump River. The winners will receive $50 for First Place and $25 for Second Place. Keep your fingers crossed that students from our school will win this fun contest! -Miss Skille and Mrs. Adams

The High School Physical Science class was challenged to design and build a 3D solar system. All students produced amazing projects with cupcakes, foam balls, or LEGO. Sabreena went above and beyond and crocheted the planets! Well done!

The Winter High School Varsity Girls' Basketball Team & Coaches traveled to Green Bay to watch the 50th WIAA Girls' Basketball Tournament. Thank you, Lady Warriors, for a terrific season!
The Lakeland Honor Society Winter Chapter held its annual meeting and induction ceremony on March 11th. Several students were recognized, including saying goodbye to our Senior Lakeland Conference Honor Society members. Last night’s Winter Sports Banquet went off without a hitch as we gathered to celebrate the hard work and dedication of our basketball teams this season. It was a great evening recognizing the accomplishments of our athletes, while also reflecting on the growth, teamwork, and improvement shown by our middle school and high school programs throughout the winter.
Thank you to the players, coaches, and families who helped make this season memorable. We are proud of the effort our teams put in every day and look forward to building on that progress in the seasons ahead. Keep making Winter proud, athletes!
