Tonight we played Lake Holcombe who was also undefeated in conference play. A coaches mistake had us out of sorts leading to a loss in the first set. The girls came back and won the next three. We have one more conference game in Bruce on Tuesday on our way to become Conference Champions. Let’s go Warriors!!

Last night, the Drama Club helped to accept some very heartfelt donations to the Kids' Change Drive. These donations have been made in memory of Ken Patenaude. Ken was a cornerstone in our small community. He passed away on September 18th at the age of 81. His service is this coming Saturday, and his family has arranged for donations to be made, in part, to the Kids' Change Drive in lieu of flowers.
This is such an amazing and humbling tribute for a man who worked so hard to make our community the very best it could be.

Winter High School Volleyball Parents' Night:

On Tuesday, the Middle School was able to go to Ashland to attend a Construction Career Fair. Students were able to talk with many employers with a wide variety of careers represented. Our students asked very thoughtful questions and heard information about what schooling is required for certain careers and the benefits offered! When we were leaving, many people told Mrs. Graf that they were very impressed with our students and how they interacted with the employers! Go Warriors!

While Middle School was on the field trip, these three seniors had the honor of leading the Kids' Change Drive, raising over $15,000 by bringing in donations through the container hosted by Pat's Landing Resort, where they work. Pat's is closing for the season, but a HUGE thank you to them for having a container for us!

**A couple more checks came in right after that, with a new total of $17,067.98!!**

Log a Load

Fourth and Fifth graders were invited to participate in the 2026 “LOG-A-LOAD FOR KIDS,” which took place on Thursday, October 1st in Barnes, WI.

Students and teachers toured a logging operation and attended various forest demonstrations, gaining firsthand knowledge of what’s involved in the forest products industry and forest resources.

The Northwest Chapter of the Great Lakes Timber Professional Association (GLTPA) sponsors this annual event.

🍂🎨 Little Artists at Work! 🎨🍂

Our kindergarten and 1st-grade artists got creative with clay in Mrs. Moelter’s art class as they made their very own leaves! They explored texture, shape, and detail while turning simple pieces of clay into beautiful works of art.

The Winter/Birchwood WarCats celebrated their seniors on Friday, October 2, as they hosted the Shell Lake Lakers in Birchwood.

Senior Night is always a special opportunity to recognize the dedication, hard work, and commitment our senior athletes have given to the WarCats football program. These young men have represented Winter and Birchwood with pride throughout their careers, and we are grateful for the time, effort, and leadership they have provided to their teammates and communities.

Congratulations to our WarCats seniors! We are proud of you and appreciate everything you have contributed to the program. Thank you to the families, coaches, teammates, and fans who have supported these athletes along the way.

The Winter Warriors had a strong showing at Saturday's tournament, battling their way to a second-place finish!

The Hurley Northstars took home first place, but the Warriors were the only team in the tournament to take a set from Hurley, showing the toughness and competitiveness of this Winter squad.

Great job, Warriors! Keep working, keep battling, and keep getting better!
