In the event that a flag or varsity football game is cancelled, players should be picked up in the back of the parking lot off Grove Street nearest to the field. Please be patient if this situation presents itself so we can safely get all student athletes to the right places.

Kinders explore the world around them at the beginning of the year by learning all about apples! We got to pick the apples from our school trees and today we got to make crockpot applesauce in class! It smells amazing!! We've also been learning about what we can do with the "leftovers" (composting and animals that help eat the skin/core). Hands-on learning at its best!

Science Club was a huge success this morning! We had 15 students. We learned about the animals, looked at some critter skeletons, had some games available and fed Barbour, the ball python. It was so great to see the students arriving, excited for what we had planned. I cannot wait for next week!

Dr. Ray and I always try to collaborate when we can with our classes, and today we did just that - going to the nature center with our US History and Anatomy and Physiology classes to learn about Harriet Tubman's use of animal and plant knowledge to help slaves to freedom on the Underground Railroad, along with anatomical differences between certain animals. It's always nice to get kids out of the building and see different things, and the Nature Center is a great opportunity right around the corner!

You and your family are invited to Walk for Tomorrow hosted at the Winter School District track on September 20th at 5:00 (following our Volleyball tournament!). Walk for Tomorrow is a suicide prevention and mental health awareness event for the whole community to come together and promote mental health by being together. There will be tables with information on ways to promote mental health, music, activities, and the main event - the walk around the track! Come support community building at the Walk for Tomorrow 2025!

Lifetouch will NOT be able to accept LATE cash/check orders STARTING THIS FALL!!!
As you may know, when students bring in their picture order after picture day, it can result in parent confusion, duplicate orders. Many times, late orders do not arrive with the large batch of orders after picture day, resulting in phone calls and emails searching for students orders.

Late orders MUST be completed online only. Online ordering will give your school families the ability to track their order and have them shipped to their home. This will eliminate random orders being shipped to the school office throughout the school year.

Reminder that all cash/check paper order forms MUST be turned in to the photographer(s) before they leave on Picture Day.
-If a paper order is not turned in to the photographer by the end of Picture Day, parents will be required to place their picture order online at mylifetouch.com.
-Instead of leaving an envelope for late cash/check payments (as they have done in the past), the photographer should be leaving directions for placing an online order.

With the 2025/2026 School year underway, be aware that it will be common place to see our patrol cars in and around school grounds throughout the County. Our deputies routinely make checks of school grounds to meet with teachers, students and parents as part of their daily patrol duties.
Additionally one deputy in particular will be dropping by to make sure everyone is in attendance as they should be, Deputy Amber Al-Moghrabi has been our County Truant Deputy since 2022 and we would like to thank her for the difference she is making on the youths in our Community.
