In such a small school our students spend a lot of time with the same students in their grade-level class. Science Club welcomes students of any grade and we have participants in 4K-High School. The coolest thing is how well all of the students interact. They never mind who is working next to them. The littles are helped by the older students and there are no arguments, even between siblings! It is just learning together through natural play, hands-on activities and experiments. It truly represents our Little Red Schoolhouse!

The Winter School is seeking to fill a full time Special Education Aide Position. Please see details and feel free to contact the school if you have any questions.

One of our standards in Social Studies is to explore and investigate many celebrations that take place in the United States. To support this important standard, classes learned about Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), which is celebrated in many Spanish-speaking countries, especially in Mexico and parts of the US. Día de los Muertos honors the memory of loved ones who have passed away. Learning about this celebration allows us to explore cultural traditions, language, and the values of remembrance.
One of our amazing local families brought in all sorts of wonderful things to help us learn about this family celebration. They brought donuts and tamales for us to try, and shared what an ofrenda may look like for a family. We Had a wonderful time! Thank you so much to the Sanchez-Espino family for taking the time to help us learn new things today!
