We had some fun Campfire Conversations today in Guidance Class with Mrs. Graf! We reviewed some parts of the brain that we learned about last year in Guidance, and then shared funny and "scary" stories about our Amygdalas in our brain, nicknamed: Security Guard. Our Amygdala's job is to protect us by telling us to fight, flight (run away), or freeze. We shared stories of when our Amygdala (security guard) thought it had to protect us, but it was wrong. For example, one student shared that they thought they heard a bear in the woods and ran away screaming, only to find out later it was just a squirrel.

Mrs. Moelter’s Sculpture 1 class has started Book Sculpture project. Students have learned different methods to manipulate paper, and have started carving!

Great Season Lady Warriors!!

There will not be a fan bus

In case you haven't heard, our girls ran past Drummond in 3 sets last night! Thanks to all who attended and supported from afar. They have moved on to the regional championship in Rib Lake tomorrow at 7:00.
We are looking at possibly sending a fan bus to Rib Lake as long as we can get enough interest. If you are interested, please contact the District Office at 715-266-3301.

Pep Rally for the Lady Warriors!

Another meat raffle opportunity from Cal’s! Please go help support Winter Athletics and patronize our local businesses!

This morning, a few 2nd graders did a fun science experiment!
They learned that plastic bags are stretchy and bendy because they’re made from a special kind of plastic. When you poke sharp pencils through the bag, the bag stretches around them without tearing. It even closes tightly around the pencils so water can’t leak out! They had a blast! 🔍🧠🤓

Elementary will be parading on main street and through the school at 2:00 on Halloween day! Thank you all for helping us have a safe and happy Halloween!

Kindergarten Growth Project
Kinders have started a long term observation project using our seeds collected from apples harvested for applesauce and pumpkin seeds from pumpkins we got at school. We will be watching each container for changes and growth throughout the rest of the school year. Our hypothesis (best guess of what will happen) is that the pumpkins will sprout first because “it only takes 3 months for pumpkins to grow, but 5 years for an apple tree to grow”-kinder logic. We will keep you posted on the changes we see!
