Drake Rider, son of Bob and Melisa Rider, has been chosen as the Winter High School Student of the Month for May 2026.
Drake has attended the Winter School District for the duration of his education. He is a diligent student who always completes work that is above satisfactory. He is dependable and a great help for most any task, including the hard chores of moving tables, picking up recycling, or helping to sweep the Village streets. During High School, Drake has tried the Drama Club and the High Quiz Bowl. He has played three seasons of Varsity sports, including eight-man football, basketball, baseball, and golf.
Mrs. Lueloff, the Winter School District Business Education teacher, says, “‘Drakester’ is such a fun kid to have in school! He is always upbeat and ready for a challenge. He is driven to achieve his future goals. He is constantly competing with his friends, and it’s fun to watch their banter. He is a proud Warrior and is definitely a privilege to have in school.”
Mr. Suralski, the Winter High School Social Studies teacher and Golf Coach, says, “Drake is a guy you can always count on, and tasks completed of a very good quality for sure. He always follows through with what he tells you he’s going to do. Very well deserved, Drake!”
